Just what the title says. Need to alter the inside of the covers because they hit the rocker arms. I need a write-up or a short detailed description to help perform this task. Any help is better than none. Thanks in advance.

If you look at the underside of the valve covers, you will see metal strips with a lip that help support the bolt holes. On the manifold side of the valve covers, you will need to bend those lips with some pliers so it will slide in between the rocker arm bases.

It should take 2 minutes. Just look for a metal piece that slides inbetween the rocker arms and bend the metal flat.

Ultimate ghetto but practical is to just set a pair of vice grips on the center supports and wiggle back and forth till they break out they are just spot welded in there.

The ribbing molded into the top of the valve covers makes them strong enough that they are not needed.

Also you can just force them past the rockers and they will still clear.

Seen both ways done and both worked

I was wondering..If I dont have the supports in the center of my valve cover do I still need the narrow body rocker arms? Or can I use standerd RR?

Thanks
