Angry Black rubber strip that runs along bottom edge of window..

It keeps popping up and almost off everytime I close the door. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Whats the solution? Cut the metal tabs off and RTV it down?

That sounds more like a problem with window or door alignment than with the strip. If you close the door with the window down, does it still pop off?

Yes that is when it is the worse. When the window is down theres not pressure against it to help hold it. It stays pretty much normal and isn't a problem when the window is up or mostly up. Only when its half down or more.

I have had the same problem as well. Its only held on by little metal clips that get rusty over time and either bend or break. Once they do this it loses its hold on the metal lip that is on the door. You can get a new rubber piece that has the clips on them and intall it. Only thing is its a major PITA not to mention you have to be really careful not to scratch your car while installing it.

My strip has popped up as well. I think someone was trying to break in and popped this strip up. So all we need to buy is the rubber strip? Do we need to remove the window to replace it?

Thanks

just replace the strip, it thinks its around $18. you dont have to take the window out but you have to move the mirror support to get the strip under it. Its not to bad to install just take your time with it.
