On MMA.tv, people make screenname bets on mixed martial arts fights with the person that picked the winner getting to rename the loser any name they want for a specified period of time (usually a month).

Could we do that here? Maybe limit it to premium members only. I don't know how difficult it is to switch someone's name and I know y'all [used to?] get flooded with people wanting name changes (like that idiot 81z28kid), but I think it'd be hilarious to see what people would bet on (NCAA games, NBA games, Superbowl, MMA, etc.).

As long as it didn't become EVERYONE doing it, I think it'd be hilarious.

 

Why not do something that doesn't involve mods or admins? How about just doing avatar bets?

 

Because that's money and people aren't always willing to bet money. I knew it probably wouldn't work here, I just always thought it was hilarious to see some of the names people come up with.

 

What you're suggesting affects people who already have the ability to change their avatar whenever they want.
