Yep. The three times I've gone to open the Lounge today took 49 seconds, 56 seconds and 52 seconds.

 

Just visited the forum for the first time in a few days... 30+ seconds to load.

Now I remember why I stopped visiting.

IB: It's been said before, but you guys are killing this site. You guys need a new web host at a new location on a new server, and possibly do some serious optimizing on the SQL database. This is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know any IT position in the industry that would tolerate major issues like this for such a long period of time. Frankly I don't know how some of the sys admins with IB are still employed.

And some people wonder why so many of us jumped ship.

47 seconds to open the Lounge just now.

On a positive note, I haven't had any ad pop-ups or large overbearing roll-overs in a while.

 

Holy ****! 10 second load time! Best I've seen in a while!

We've been QAing an entirely new architecture, hoping we turn it on today and that you all notice immediately. I will check back when I have specific info.

 

Took over a minute to load the lounge just now. Then about 15 to load this thread.

I've been on this website a very very long time, and quite frankly the reputation that Jason/Chris spent over a decade earning has been blown to shreds since you guys have taken over. I used to spend hours and hours on here every day. I haven't really visited in over 3 weeks though because quite frankly I'm just sick of waiting for crap to load.

Just take a look at lounge traffic over the past few months. It looks like there are 10 posts today! There used to be pages worth! This is because the speed/issues here are just that bad.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty much done with it over here. I'll still occasionally check in, but I just don't have the time to wait over a minute for a page to load, just to wait another 15-20 seconds for a thread to load just to wait another 30 seconds and 2 refreshes to post something,

 

Trust me, there isn't anyone more frustrated then Jason and myself right now. We are in constant contact with IB about the problems on this site. Things are being worked on, and I can only hope and pray that the problems will be resolved this week.

That is all I can offer you all right now.

 

Thanks Chris, we know you guys are frustrated and we know IB is working on the issue. I truly hope it's all taken care of this week.

 

Hoping that tomorrow is the end of our issues here.

When are you making the change? It just took me 35 seconds to load the Lounge.

 

They probably already have. 35 is less than the usual 45.
