Separate section for shop reviews and location...
I live in NC and I'm on here searching for reputable motor/tuning shops in this state and I had this idea. I had this forum and 2 other ones up at the same time searching the same thing trying to find shops for my engine and where I should go to get it dyno tuned.
I came up with scattered threads of people commenting on certain shops and what they offer and I thought it would be a good idea to put a section up for shop reviews. Have it branch off to regions. That way I could go into engine shop reviews and look into the southeast region and do a search of shops in NC or maybe even VA or SC, just like it is for the region clubs. Members can talk about what the shop offers (engine rebuilds, transmission rebuilds, dyno tuning, etc.) and prices and how the customer service was.
When new members join, just like myself, they like to do research and this shop locations always come up. Or when members move to another area or state, just like I will be doing, they can look up shops in that area and get an idea of what they're facing. This could also be good for small shop owners on here to advertise their shop and maybe offer some discounts so they can build a clientèle.
Just thought I'd throw this out there and see what everyone thinks.
Thanks
AJ

Sure, I'm all for it. It would be nice to know who's available in Rochester, NY or surrounding area that specialize in f-body or LT1. Nice to know that they would be reputable and fair if there's ever a problem I can't handle on my own.
The only problem is even the best places can get a negative review. Sometimes you just can't please everyone or people are so quick to assume it's a builder or vendor for why they aren't making x amount of HP or TQ. Etc...
