how do you insert pictures in a thread or reply without haveing to use a link?

There is a button in the advanced posting window that is yellow and has a mountain on it. You can use this, which will wrap *[img] [/img]* (minus the *'s) tags around the link for the source of the picture, making the picture visible in the post. Or you can just get the direct link to the post, and type in those tags on your own.

And what do you mean by posting a reply without using a link?

You add a picture to a reply the same way you put it in the original post....

Type [img]

Type the internet address of the picture you want to appear

Type [/_img] (without the extra _ )

The picture will appear.

[img]http://www.injuneer.com/images/photos/Engine/DCP03746a.jpg[/_img] gets you this:



If you mean can you use an "attachment", the answer is "no".
