Possible sticky consideration

I (we) would like to post a "sticky" in the drag racing section of the forums. We are currently working on a long thread discussing the "Bolt on only" class. This is for the LT1 based f-bodies only to avoid complications.

I would like to draw some interest to this class for I feel it is the one classification that the majority of your web followers can relate to. We are trying to hash out a more accepted set of rules and produce a tracking method to chart the performance of anybodies car who cares to post. This charting will be helpful for all to see what is working and what might not be working.

I'm relatively new to the F-body scene having bought my car in May of 2007, I've found this board to be the "go to source" for information on making modifications to my own vehicle.

We would also like to hear your input on this topic as well.

Thank you for your consideration

Its not sanctioned...you guys make up the rules as you go along. Whats the point?

bragging right? Its a waste of time in my opinion I say bolt on anything you want and when its said and done someone is going to argue something about it.

Sorry if I hurt your feelings

What a cop out. If you are gonna let someone have it unmercifully, you need to go all the way with it. Since you cannot, be nice.

We are really trying to get a list going similar to what they do with the B-bodies, it would be easier to organize than the current methods used.

If you organize it and make the rules people will follow you.

Thing is....I could run a set of ported heads and who would know? Are you going to have a protest fee to tear one down? or just hope everyone is honest........

Don't take it the wrong way, but people lie and cheat when it comes to racing. If you set it up I will cheat my way to the top

Honestly you'd look pretty foolish cheating in a class that is only running high 11's, if you have to cheat to run those times your pretty pathetic in most racers minds.

There are always clues around to spot the potential cheater especially with these cars.

i know this is off topic but mike have you ever been through that process. me and my buddy were talking about it and were unsure of who did the actual tear down and rebuild and who paid for it. in a actual sanctioned racing event of course

they take you to the trailer right after the timing booth, all the tools are there, you have like 5 people watching you, whatever comes off goes on the table gets inspected measured etc.

If you protest and I'm clean I get the money if not I get DQed.....

Don't know the prices now but its next to nothing, won't even cover gaskets.

I think a head is $100 a cam is $100, stroke is $250...something like that

And they may tear you down late friday night after you qualify and you have to get it all back together to race the next morning and have everything right.

Not a poor mans game.....thats why I can't do it
Maybe if I could get a big CZ28 banner on the side off the car
