ZFX, Anywhy to keep it from drying out?

I have lost 2 bottles of it and only waxed my car about 8 times. The first bottle I don't know what happened to it, I waxed my car twice the same day and then the next day the bottle was empty. The cap felt tight but it did get cold so I don't know. So I bought another bottle and keep the cap real tight and also keep it in a mixing bottle with the cap tight also. The 2nd bottle was keep inside the house and I am not sure what happened it just dried out. The 2nd bottle lasted 8 months maybe longer and then in about 2 weeks it all of a sudden it dried out.
The question is how do you keep this stuff or were do you keep this stuff at? The 2nd bottle stayed between 65 and 75 degrees at all times. Is it the temp or evaparation that gets it?
I liked using it I just need to make it last. Anyone got any tips before I buy another bottle.
Kevin, You got any tips? Whats the shelf life of ZFX? I am just trying to get some info before I buy another bottle. Thanks Alan

You got me. I've had the little dropper bottle this stuff comes in out in my garage for well over 6 months with no problem.

Perhaps someone is stealing your stash and returning the empty bottle.

Something definitely doesn't sound right to me either. I've had a ZFX kit since they first came to market last year and use it often and it's still about 1/2 full and completely liquid. I've got 3 or 4 other full ZFX kits too that are as good as the day they arrived. I have no clue why yours are drying up unless they are being tampered with or if there is a problem with the ZFX dropper. You should probably contact Sal Zaino about it. Having 2 kits dry up is very unusual.

I do store all of my detailing chemicals in 2 separate duffle bags in the house, so they aren't exposed to either extreme heat or cold. Seems to work fine for me.....

Just asking here. Is he possibly talking about his mixture of ZFX and Z2/Z5 is what is drying out, or just the ZFX only? The way I read it was a mixture. If this is the case, you should only mix what you will need at the time you are using it or you will lose it to hardening.

I have a big bottle of ZFX that is about 4 years old, I have had no problems with it drying out, and we sell about 125 kits of ZFX a month and I have heard of only one customer that had a problem, and he left the cap off overnight.

I am just talking about the little blue bottle unmixed. I was hoping someone would tell me they had a problem. The first bottle dried out quick but i didn't put the cap on extra tight and it cold that night were it was at. But the 2nd bottle was keep inside the house were it stays nice and warm. I know the cap was on tight and it was in a mix bottle with the cap on tight aslo. Maybe I had bad luck. The 2nd bottle did make it a long time, I just remember a few weeks ago it looked about 3/4 full and about a week ago it was dried out. But I bought it last summer sometime so I just don't know. Don't get me wrong the stuff did what was advertised I just want to know the best way to store it. Thanks Alan

The only way it would dry out is if the top was left off or not tightened all the way. It can also get ruined by freezing.

ALL vials of the ZFX are only half full. Saying it was 3/4 full is very confusing as it couldn't have been 3/4 full.

I keep it like i got it in a mix bottle in the box it came in but its laying down so it looked like it had more in it, i can't remember how full it was. I don't remember what day i bought it either.lol but I do know this, the cap was very tight and it dried out. thats all i know. maybe it was bad luck for me but its all gone now. Like I said before I am asking for advice on were you guys keep this stuff so if it works for you it might work for me. I was hoping for someone to say "keep it in the fridge it will last forever" or something like that so won't loose bottle #3.
Kevin, when i bought the 2nd bottle we talked and i think you told me to keep the cap on tight, trust me i did. Anywhy where do you guys keep yours stored at? What are the temp conditions there? Alan

I had mine for over a year and used it on four different occasions without a problem. Then all of a sudden it was completely dried and formed a blue gel as well?! The cap was on, I keep it in my garage, and I live in CA where temperatures are usually 63 +_5 F all year round.

I can't afford to buy another ZFX and just use the Z2 for now. I was hoping to use it on my sister's new MBZ and her bf's black ZO6 since they wanted to try it.

just my experience
