Zaino question
At night on my black TA when I'm under a streetlight or something, you can really notice swirl marks, and I'm not really sure if its supposed to be like that or not (never owned a black car). I'm not sure what the previous owner has done along the lines of waxing/washing. I'd like to use Zaino(probably Z5) and I'm wondering if I should use the Z2 along with the Z5 or if just the Z5 will suffice..
As if these Z's aren't confusing enough, the site recommends getting the ZFX additive. Do you mix the ZFX with both the Z2 and the Z5 and then apply them in that order?

The ZFX makes the Z2 and Z5 "work faster" and bond to the paint faster.
honestly, I found some good, simple directions at www.installuniveristy.com do a search on car detailing or Zaino and they will pop up.
honestly to do it right, I reccomend the the whole starter kit, when people try to half *** it they end up saying zaino is not good, but the people that seem to go all out love it and stick with it.
As for swirls the Z5 does help take car of it but from what I hear its not the best thing, just works on minor stuff if you have lots, may need to go to something different.

If you have severe swirl marks then you will probably need to use something with more abrasive such as 3M Swirl Mark Remover #39009.
After the 3M application you can use either the Z5 or Z2 depending on the condition of the finish. The Z5 will help fill in the remaining swirl marks while the Z2 provides a superior shine.
If you use ZFX you will not need to apply the Z1 polish lok before using Z2 or Z5. ZFX also allows you to add additional coats without waiting for the previous coat to cure. When using the ZFX only mix the amount you think you will need, after time the polish with ZFX will harden and become unusable.
Happy Zainoing!

For dark colored cars, my Zaino distributor recommends using the Z5 most of the time. I usually apply 2 coats of Z5, followed by one coat of Z2. I also used to mix Z5/Z2 50/50 in a 2 oz. bottle, but I've gone back to 2 coats of Z5, and follow with a coat of Z2.
The ZXF will quicken the drying process...you add about 4/5 drops for every oz. of Zaino.
Also, very important! Make sure you have the proper towels when removing the Zaino! You can find some tips on this on Zainobros.com. If you spend the time Zainoing and use an inferior towel, your work will not turn out as hoped.

I never knew you could mix and match and apply coat after coat of different waxes. I'm not sure if the swirl marks are "severe" as I have nothing to compare them to, so I think to start I'll just use the Z5 and Z2 and if it doesnt make it look good, ill try the 3M stuff. Thanks guys
Another thing is I don't have a garage right now to keep it in, how much is that going to hurt me..

Not having a garage shouldn't be too much of a headache
If you're going to Zaino the car, I'd do it all in one day. This lovely pollen, etc., that we're having makes the cars appear dirty quick! If you let the car sit overnight, and were to polish it again, I'd wash it once more just to be on the safe side.
