Z06 rims..hardest cleaning question ever asked...see inside

last year they re-did the road near my house. I got some tar on the wheels that won't come off. i have the triple plated chrome Z06 vette wheels. does anyone know what i can use that would remove it and not screw up all that chrome???

Chrome is very durable, you could use WD-40, Stoners Tarminator, 3M Wax Remover, etc....

Try simachrome, blue magic or flitz polish, made especially for chrome and polished clearcoated wheels. Those polish cleaners are formulated to clean up heavy oxidation that most soaps will not be able to get rid of, without harming your clearcoat or chromed surface.

wd-40 is awesome on tar, I used to live near an ocean and u would get nasty huge globs of tar on the bottom of ur feet, just spray a little wd-40 and it comes right off like a charm. SO give it a shot, plus im sure it has no advers affect what so ever on ur rims.
