Absolutely not! Using the Zaino polishes takes very little time actually, usually less than 1 hour to apply and remove 1 coat of product. If you start with Z1, it may take a little more time for the two products to dry the first time you use them, but afterwards, it becomes much easier and quicker. So easy in fact, that you can quickly apply a coat or two of Zaino after each car wash. Of course with ZFX, the process is very speedy, you just apply and remove after about 30 minutes. I think you may be thinking of the prep process, which can take several days, weeks, or even years to perfect. It has literally taken me years to prep my finish to complete perfection. Mostly because I learn new things along the way until it gets better and better, using better products and better techniques. A good prep can be done in one or two days if you have a good finish to start with. For neglected surfaces, it can take many hours and days worth of prep to perfect things. Prep should be done to all cars, regardless of what wax or polish you use. It is not strictly a Zaino thing. Prep includes swirl removal, claying, paint cleaning, etc and this may take several days to be complete and thorough. After prep is complete, Zaino is the easy part of the process, and it's the part you'll definitely look forward to!

All the prep work really isn't a Zaino thing, it should be done regardless of what product you plan to use.
