Post Z18 Clay Bar Question

Alright, hopefully this will be my last Zaino related question for some time: Should only a torn off part of the Z18 Clay Bar be used to clay the car or should the entire bar be used?

Oh, and one last thing: Would it be a good idea to go over the car with 3M Swirl Remover before Zainoing? I wouldn't call my spider-webbing bad (it can only be seen at certain angles in the sun) but if it would make a noticeable difference I'd like to do it.

Thanks,
Josh

Z-18 comes split into two bars, I use 1/2 of one of these bars at a time, or 1/4 of the entire container.

Do not use the 3M unless you have a BAD swirl problem.

You didnt waste any clay. I've used the mothers clay bar and I ripped it in half in case I dropped part. That way, I still have half of a clay bar to use instead of no clay bar.

This is why Zaino's bar is better than some, Sal Zaino tool the time to individually wrap his clay in two separate parts to always have some fresh. I like a small piece only about 2 fingers width as I clay using two fingers pressure.

I use the Zaino clay bar as supplied, but I only clay with 1 side. When that side becomes dirty I stretch the bar to about double it's length and fold the dirty side in on itself. That leaves a bar with 2 clean sides. Now I use one of the clean sides and when it get's dirty I stretch the bar .... I've done this about 18 times on 1 clay bar before I moved on to the next one.

A clay bar can be used more than once, unless the car was REALLY full of gunk. I've used the same bars over and over. Keep kneading it alot to maintain a clean surface.
