Does Z-5 take out light scraches or just cover them up? I have some light swrill marks i need to get. Thanks Alan

 

Z-5 is a filler, it is not an abrasive and contains no abrasives so it can not remove any clear coat. It is not an oil filler however like a glaze, it is a semi-permanent filler.

Z5 is a filler of small swirls. This product works extremely well for decreasing the optical aberrations created by swirl marks. I originally only used the Z1,Z2 and Z6 and got a glossy but distorted shine because of the very light swirl marks. This was disappointing because after years of carnuba usage the swirls were alleviated by the filling with the silicone in these waxes. But after using Z5 (several coats) I'm extremely amazed by the black finish of my Z28. It never looked this perfect even when new. The gloss is awesome. The depth is unbelievable and the black has never been blacker even in bright sunlight. At night the car just glows. Remember the Z5 is now locked in the swirl for several months instead of for several weeks or until the next wash when using waxes. Top with Z2 and BOOM.. the best shine in the world.
In conclusion ... Z5 is a must on dark colors IMO and well worth it.
