When can I polish my new 2004 Grand Prix?

Just bought it a couple of weeks ago. When can I polish it? I'm not sure exactly when it was painted/built.

You can use any nonabrasive product on the paint right away. By the time a car arrives at a dealer, and then sold, the paint is more than fully cured and hardened. More than likely, your car was built several months ago. You can wax or polish it and even clay it right away, but I would not use any abrasives on the car for the first several months, unless absolutely necessary.

I advise you to clay the car first Most of them have been a week or more on some rail car or truck traveling down the freeway and always have "rough" crap all over the hood and roof, even after being washed.

Other than that, go to town and wax the crap outta that thing
