3M swirl mark remover.

although you could use it by hand you will only get marginal results. (this also goes for any swirl remover).

spend some money on a good 9-11 inch random-orbital buffer (AC/DELCO, CRAFTSMAN, WAXMASTER, PORTER CABLE).

they run upwards of $50, but it will last years and you will never go back to hand applications.

By hand, I usually prefer Meguiar's polishes, even though they are more oily than the 3M competition. I just think Meguiar's polishes break down easier by hand, whereas 3M seems to be more suitable for a buffer. This is not to say you can't use 3M by hand, but it's alot of work and a lot of time for the perfect results.

Take a look at the polishes on this page, which are some of the best you can buy: http://www.goodspeedmotoring.com/sub...egory=Polishes

IMO, for hand work, I'd rate my choices as follows:
1) Meguiar's #9
2) Meg's Swirl Free Polish
3) 3M SMR 39009

This is not to say that the Meguiar's is more effective than the 3M, but rather easier to work with. The downside is that multiple apps may be needed....it's up to you.

Using a buffer, my choices would be slightly different...
