Post What is a "clay bar"?

What is a "clay bar"? What are they for? How do you use them? I never heard of these things other than on this site.

I highly recommend Zaino's Z18 clay bars, but these links should get you started understanding what they're for. Clay has been used by detailers for years to clean the paint better than any wax or polish can. If you want to buy clay locally to play around with, check out Clay Magic (blue bar) or Mother's clay kit. Find them at AutoZone, PepBoys, Wal-Mart, or your local paint supply shop.
