Clay bar

i had my camaro painted about 3 weeks ago, and it developed water spots. i was told to use the clay bar to remove the water spots. has anyone tried this? also how long should i wait before i begin to use the clay bar?

I would wait about a month for the paint to cure. then the claybar should do the trick. If not take it back to the paint shop and have them wet sand the spots out.

yea.. I would say 4-6 weeks before I used any sort of abrasive like a clay bar.. or even wax.... gotta let the paint cure, even if it was baked in a booth when they painted it.

My brother's a Body tech.. been doing it for almost 20 years... I've learned a thing or 2 over the years... And one thing is be very careful what you do to a car for the first month or 2 after a paintjob....
