Question waxing too much?

i was wondering if waxing the car everytime i wash it(once a week)is too much? i can't afford zaino right now but i'm looking into buying it because it has great endurance from what i've read in this forum. i'm using meguiars gold class. i live in nevada where it is hotter than hell itself with the sun beating down all day, so i figured i'm giving it as much protection possible. is it okay to be doing this? any info or comments is appreciated!!!!!!!

As far as I know, carnauba waxes don't build up at all, so you're really not doing any good by applying multiple coats. When you start to notice it wearing off, apply another one.

Zaino, on the other hand, will build up each time you apply it, creating a great 3D look after each new layer.

You should save up and buy the Zaino ASAP, bud . I used to use Meguiars on my car(not on my F-Body though, I've used Zaino from day one on that car as soon as I heard of it ), and quite frankly, I don't think I could ever go back to buffing on and off that hard crap and putting up with all the laboring bullsh1t. Mr. Miyagi can just stick that wax-on/wax-off crap up his @ss.

Thank god for Zaino

i know that zaino is god's medicine. i just want to know if i'm waxing my car too much? or should i be waxing it that much because carnuba doesn't protect the paint that well. zaino is on my list to buy when i have an extra 100 bucks to buy wax. just don't have it right now. i have to get by with using meguiars for awhile.

Gold Class is a cleaner wax, using a cleaner wax once per week is really overkill and your paint does not need cleaning that often, and you don't have to spend 100 dollars on Zaino, one bottle of Z-2 at 12.95 is bare bones and add the Z-1 at 8.95 and your paint is fully protected and BTW, the sun and heat has zero effect on the sythetic base Zaino. We have LOTS of customers in your state, TX, FL, and CA where the sun is a killer.

I have been using the turtle wax black wax. What do you guys think of that? It has been working pretty good so far. I have a buffer. I buff my car like every two weeks, and don't have any problems.

!! You're kidding, right?
The colored polishes/waxes are "supposed" to fill in scratches, etc. Never seen them do that, and the gloss is sub par. On as new a car as yours I would think you do not have those kinds of scratches....

BUT, if you are really buffing it every two weeks (!!!) then you shouldn't need anything but plain wax. Zaino'd be a waste because you'd be removing it when you buffed it.

Your car must be flawless by now with that much buffing. Until you buff the paint off, which won't be long...

What are you talking about buffing the paint off? So what do you guys recommend for cleaning? Thanks.
