Angry Swirl Marks!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

I seriously need help with these damn annoying bastards, I have tried everything to get rid of them. I have not tried anything from the Zaino line yet, but I will have to its my last resort. I have tried this wax I bought from the store, its not to bad but it doesn't last but for like a week or so. Its Meguires Gold Glass. It doesn't get rid of them or cover them up. I have tried 3M's Rubbing compound with a high performance polisher/buffer. Doesn't work it just seems like it makes more swirls. I then tired the 3M finish restorer that claims removes swirl marks haa yeah lot of bs that is. Didn't help me any. So the question I getting at here is do the swirl and scratches every go away or are they going to haunt me forever. I love my car but it looks like crap when the light hits it a certain way and you see the swirl marks. I was wondering if anyone here has tried the swirl remover stuff Z-5 I think it is from Zaino, and does it work? How long does it keep them from reappearing? Also last question, does anyone know where the dealer is for Zaino in Kentucky?

I sent you a PM, give me a call. I live in Louisville and been buying alot of extra Zaino for years and keeping it on hand for all the locals and KY F-Bodies Unlimited club members.

The Rubbing compound is too rough and it will cause you to create even more swirl marks than you had before, and the 3M Finish Restorer is not that great of a product.

The two 3M products I would use on your car would be the slightly rougher 3M Finesse It II to start with using an orbital buffer with a foam pad and then step down to the finer 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009 and then wash the car off (to remove the excess oils from the 3M buffing) and then apply the Z-5 which is not a "remover" like the 3M products are (the 3m contains solids and/or abrasives and cleaners) as the Z-5 is a filler as it contains no abrasives, solids, or cleaners.

Kevin V can get you straight.

3M Perfect It Swirl Remover all the way! It works great for dark colours. It worked like a charm on my black Z28 SS, I really recomend it. Put a quarter sized drop of it on a clean cotton cloth, rub back and forth untill it runs out then, using a different cloth or a clean part of the same one, rub back and forth (it should make a squeeking noise, that means it's dry) Apply it to the affected area several times and change the direction in which you rub and the swirl marks will vanish (or at least be very minimal)

TransAm_Impostr, nice meeting you yesterday. To bad it was getting too dark to check out the surface closely. Let me know when you plan to get started with the car and I'll try to come by and help you. You should be able to get the 3M Swirl Mark Remover #39009 from Walmart if you plan to use it. I need to get some to keep on hand. But before trying to buff them out let's try the least invasive method and see what the Z-5 does for it. Just give me a call or an e-mail.

The easiest way is to have your car buffed with a rotary buffer by someone who knows what they're doing.

A lot of swirl removers just hide the swirls and then when you wash the car, you can see the swirls again.

Only problem with that is $$$ and if the swirl marks aren't under the clear coat, or aren't to deep, 3M Swirl Remover gets them out and they don't come back when you was it.. I've washed my car hundreds of times and they havn't come back
