Exclamation

Yeah, I agree....they're definitely on the low grade of things. They're OK if you're painting a beater or something that you still want to look decent. But, if you're looking for show quality or even just factory quality paint.....no way!

Some of the best show paint jobs can run tens of thousands of dollars. Expect about $2-5K for a nice job, $10K+ and higher for show quality. Some show cars can have over $100K paint jobs!

Or the best option....get a good factory style job ($1K to 3K) and some Zaino and it'll look like those $100K+ jobs!

There's a reason they use the phrase "Uh-Oh" in their ads...

Cool

Depends on the shop and employee who does work. I've seen the good, bad and ugly through the years. The good ones were on cars that were de-trimmed papered and taped by owner prior to bringing the car in and work was performed by old timer who had a work ethic.

About 7 years ago I had a car painted at macco. The paint job lasted maybe 2 years before it started to fade badly. But like jim88iroc305 says maybe you can actualy find a macco painter who will take pride in his work.

Of course the paint is of a cheaper grade, but it can still be applied correctly and last. Usually the problem lies behind the person holding the paint gun.

Its funny how just the paint to paint one of my doors and rear quarter panel at my body shop, cost more than an entire macco paint job. That should tell you about their quality.
