spay can primer question

I bought rust-oleum automotive spray can primer and was wondering if I can spray a aftermaket fiberglass hood with it. I dont know if it is a urathaine base or not. I allready sprayed real primer on it and I want to add a little more just to even it out and fill some small imperfections. Please help.

Don't do it. Use real primer. You will use a ton of rattle cans to get enough material down to fill in spots...

Its not to fill any thing. When I put the real primer on and I sanded it I went through into the black fiberglass when evening it out so I just want to cover the hood and sand that top cop with like 400grit quick then paint.

Just make sure its a high quality high build in a rattle can from a automotive paint supply store. A good can of high build will cost anywhere from 11 bucks to 25 bucks. i would shoot for the higher priced one as you do get what you pay for.
