I've been hearing some rave reviews about the NXT from meguires, wondering how it holds up to zaino. I haven't used either, took a break from detailing over the winter, bout to stock back up on supplies here.

 

I have never used Zaino but I recently started using NXT. From what ive seen and read on here, Zaino is better no doubt in terms of durability. NXT is a very close second. I would much rather pay 15 bucks for the close second than the 90 for zaino, yeah yeah it may last you longer and you dont have to do it as much, but im sure im not the only one out here that likes to wax their cars every month or so. With Zaino the shine lasts so long there is no need to, you can layer it, but I know I would just apply one coat and be done. Its all in what you like. Just go to the store and pick up a bottle of NXT and give it a try, the thing that amazed me the most, it was SO easy to apply and take off, it was like nothing ive ever used before. I really like and will stick with it for the time being.

 

zaino is 90 bucks??? holy fawk I hope thats not right otherwise its NXT for me...you can't layer the nxt?

 

If you buy the full line of products, yes it adds up, BUT you use so little of it per application, that it is actually very economical. People seem to forget that you also use a claybar, car wash, detailer, etc. with any brand of product, those don't come free. If all you want is the polish, buy the Z-2 for $12.95, you can get up to 20+ applications from it.

 

I only use zaino on my bird, it's not expensive either if used properly.

 

If you buy all Meguire's products it will add up too, it's unfair to say that Zaino costs $90, and imply that Meguire's would not.

Clay Bar, Car Wash, Detail Spray, Swirl Remover... that all costs extra with Meguire's on top of the polish, and that goes for any other company too.

Look on some of the other car boards, you will see many that have used NXT have been complaining about how long it does NOT last, I have several Zaino customers that switched to NXT and have switched back due to the poor durability, of course if durability is not an issue, it will give you a good looking finish.
