Is this true? I'm buying all my materials tommorrow, clay bar, wax, towels, dawn soap etc...I want something easy to wipe on, and wipe off for several layers....something that'll give a great shine and be durable....

In my opinion, the only time it is a pain in the *** is the first time using it because you have to wash the car, then claybar it, then wash it again. Just put it on in really thin layers and you will be fine. I have a black car which is the worst color to polish and I have no problems. Once this stuff dries, it just wipes right off. If you want durable, you sure picked the right choice. This stuff sheds water for months. Another good thing about zaino, is that you can layer it so the coats build up. Its good stuff, I look forward to zainoing my hawk soon. Just make sure you get 100% cotton towels and keep folding it. Zaino is good stuff.

I am not a fan of the product at all, but it is not hard to apply or remove. I recommend spritzing the buffing towel with some Z6 to help remove the Z2 or Z5.

If you like Zaino when your supply runs out Try Wolf Gang or Blackfire... Much Better IMO

Honestly, like said before...

Its a pain the first time, but in the long run easier then any conventional stuff you have ever used.

I put a few coats on in mid February and my car looks clean with very little maintenance...

Read this post I made awhile back...

yeah I plan on layering it, I've heard 100percent cotton is good which is what I've got now anyone else heard of microfiber before? I hear those are better for drying the car and wiping off wax?

edit: I assume you get the clay bar at liek autozone or oreilly? I'm gonna try zaino or that nxt stuff...

I disagree. I just got my '98 NBM Z28 on Friday, and had my first experience with Zaino on Saturday. It's the best polish I have EVER used. It rained today, and all I had to do was spray the car down with the hose and the the car was completely clean after driving it to school. It got dirty again because of water on the streets and all I had to do again was water it down. I've never seen anything like it. I don't know how you can say it's overrated. Overrated over WHAT? Huh?

I've used literally dozens of products for around 35 years, Zaino is the best I've found as far as ease of use, shine, durabilityand protection. It also makes it very easy to keep the car looking its best between washes too.

The "prep" work is NOT a Zaino thing, it should be done regardless of the product you plan to use.

I love the dftowels microfibers and also use 100% cotton towels and even baby diapers.

I dry my car mostly by using an electric leaf blower.

Same here, I use the leaf blower too. Yes I use zaino too, nothing else is really needed and it's easy to apply, then just buff it off with a proper towel.

The prep required is no different with any non abrasive product, you still have to strip the wax, clay the car, rewash and then apply your polish/wax, the biggest difference is nothing will last as long as Zaino.
