Post seems like i have to wax weekly?

I use meguires GOld CLass (no i nevered used that evil TW). But after one week it seems like i need to re-wax. I was my car once to twice a week. SHould 1-2 washings take the wax off? Is my problem im not using Zaino? How long does a Zaino ing last?

That's one of the major problems with carnauba waxes. For a daily driver, that seems about right. When I used to use GC and even Medallion, it never seemed to last but a week or two at best. The shine and protection just drop off in no time. With Zaino, the shine and protection lasts for months literally. I've actually never noticed that it has ever started to fade away in any respect, shine, durability, etc... The only reason I (and I suppose many others) reapply it often is because it looks so d@mn nice after every (easy) application. Otherwise there's really no need to apply more than one or two coats for long-lasting results. I know hearing the Z word gets old after a while, but I'd say toss the carnauba stuff and never look back. If you're skeptical, like I was, at first, just order Z1 and Z2 or anything else you might like and give it a whirl. I dont think you'll regret it in any way!

Wax will melt away in the sun and simply does not last. When you wash your car you wash it away.
Zaino applies some polish when you wash it. Simply lasts

yeah, i would like to put on zaino but recently i got what i think to be grass (very small green particals)stuck in the finish of my car. I got most of it off but i dont want to seal it in with Zaino. ALso dont you have to mail order Zaino? I find that to be a bit of a pain.

I have decided i have put off zaino too long. Im going to get some on order and in the mean time try to buy some zaino product off my bro.

Try a good clay bar on the stain. Do not use the Meguiar's clay as it isn't up to snuff.

Cool

I still have over a dozen bottles of various megiuar's stuff. Once the daily ride got "Zaino'd", I never had to, or wanted to, use the stuff again. Now I have more time on the weekends to do other things. The shine last a LOT longer than the megiuars... it's been a couple of months since I last applied anything. I just did it again this past weekend because.. I..um... missed polishing my car. You can check out my site for some Zaino shots, but the pics don't do the shine justice. Plus, I waited until the Daily Ride had over 56K, so it's never too late.

Looking for endurance? My previous coat of Zaino was about 3 months ago before Sunday On Friday, I looked at my paint and I said to myself "I can't believe how wet my paint still looks!" Don't get me wrong, my car isn't subject to the rigors of daily driving but 3 months?

Well, I"ve never used zaino, but i am very satisfied in the durability of mothers 3 stage carnuba wax system. I waxed my car in May, gave it about 2 coats, the water still beads up nice on mine. I used to have your problem of it not lasting for more then a month, i used to wash the car like every day, but now i wash ONCE a week, and the durability of the wax increased 10 fold.

Carnuba won't hold up a week in the summer in the south. It simply breaks down in the heat no matter what color (even white) your car is. Conventional waxes are becoming obsolete -- not just my opionion, many manufacturers including Meguiars are getting into the synthetic polishes. I just want to avoid silicones/teflons/etc in what I use. I'm happy with Zaino presently.
