Scratches in Window

Does anyone know of a way to get scratches off of a side window. Dirt got in between the window guide and the window and when the window was wound down it got scratched. With the dark tint I have on the window it really shows up. Does anyone have any suggestions other than just replacing the window?

I'm not sure I completely understood your situation, but here goes.

If the scratch is on the inside of the glass (with the tint), you're outta luck, without stripping the tint and reparing the scratch. However, if it's on the outside of the glass and is pretty light, you can try a glass polish, like Zaino's Z12 glass polish. If the scratch is medium/ heavy, you'll need a glass restoration kit like they sell at the Eastwood company. Any heavier than that, and you'll need new glass.

You might try an abrasive swirl and scratch remover too, like 3M #39009, Meguiar's Fine or Medium Medium Cut Cleaner, or 3M Fine Cut Compound. Since the compounds aren't really made for glass, they will probably scratch and marr the glass even more, but it might remove the deeper scratch too. I'd only try a compound as a last resort....

In the search box, you can either search for "glass polish" and it'll show a few items or you can search by item number. The item number for the light scratch kit is 40011 and for the deep scratch kit 40030. For instance, just type "40030" and the deep scratch kit will come up. I guess I should say that this is not easy work, so read the steps, products, and application info carefully to see if you want to do this yourself.
