Question New paint prep products! Too good to be true?

http://store.yahoo.com/classic-motor...gerbespol.html

Some sort of advanced paint prep/polish products (abrasives), that are supposed to work much better than say 3M SMR or a compound. I know CMA has a history of over-stating how great and wonderful all their products are, so I'm wondering if this is more fluff or if these really are "miracle" polishes?

Has anybody used this brand? Sounds like a new line of products that are now being used in the US. And, from the way they give it praises, it sounds too good to be true. No waxes, no silicones, no oils, fillers, glazes, etc....if this is really the case, sounds like a good new prep product before waxing or polishing. The Intense Polish looks like it's used on older finishes that need quick restoring, while the Final Polish sounds like the traditional SMR. Hmmmm..........

Doh! I'm gonna have to think about it first.....

I've already got shelves full of products.....I don't guess a couple more could hurt.....or could they?

Gotta have more info!

Well, really, you have to have about a ZERO need for abrasives on your nice new car...

Plus, I doubt you'd want to strip off all your Zaino with that abraisive stuff... maybe you could find a nice guinie pig (SP? ) to but the product for you, and you can apply it to their car!

(Boy, I'm crackin' the whip here... LOL)

You're right....I definitely don't need any abrasives for my car, but for some of the cars I detail it might save some time and effort if they work like they're advertised. I always like to keep a good selection of paint prep products for those cases. I mostly rely on 3M and Meguiar's now..... As far as my G, all it needs is a claying, and more Zaino of course!

I don't fully trust CMA sometimes, so I'm gonna wait for more word first.... Or, if all else fails, I may bite!

I think I will keep using 3M, they are the largest manufacturer of abrasives, maybe not the best but their products always are consistent.

Exclamation

Hmmm, after doing more research, it seems this Menzerna line is preferred mostly by woodworkers for refinishing. Almost all references to it were wood related, and there's not much of a "how to" anyway on their products for car paint. I found very little about these being preferred for auto polishing by anyone.

I'm chalking it up to more CMA hype.....as usual.... I'll keep my trusty 3M and Meguiar's....
