removing pin stripe paint

i am wondering the best way to remove some pin stripes that were painted on a car. it was put on top of the clear coat. i didn't know if a compound/polish would do it or not.

Sounds crazy but use oven cleaner. Spray it on wait a little bit and wipe it off. I have done this to many high end cars benz, audi, jag, bmws etc at my job. Tape up any plastic trim though.
