Removal of bad scratches...

My girlfriend was trying to get into a parking spot and rubbed, i guess pretty bad ( ihavent seen it yet), against the pillar. She did this to avoid the car next to her, or something, anyway I was wondering what can I get from the store that gets out bad scratches. I know Maguirs (probably mispelled) makes a scratch removal product that comes in a oversized black toothpaste tube, but I was wondering what else was out there. thank you

You will have to see it to know what to get, whether it is just scuffs and scratches that might polish down or paint scrapes that will have to be re painted.

You are referring to Meguiars ScratchX, it might help on a small spot but more than likely it is pretty deep and you will need more like a rubbing or polishing compound, something more abrasive and then step down to a finer polish like 3M Swirl mark Remover part number 39009 and then try to hide the final product with your regular final finish wax or polish. Of course a buffer will have much better results than by hand........
