Lightbulb Primer

I am going to do some body work on my 88 sport coupe camaro (small dent in hood and door) and decided to primer the car and leave it that way until i get the money for a good paint job. I want to go with a flat black primer and i was wondeirng if it will show my amature body work badly and if grey primer would cover it up better. 400 hp 355 in a primered "v6" camaro can someone say sleeper

Thanks for the help

Well I can't answer your question but I can give you some information on primer.
If you are putting primer over bare metal or Bondo the primer is pores and will let water get in.
So if it's over bare metal it will rust and if its over Bondo it will suck in the water and mess the Bondo up.
