Post Paging KevingSS: Por15 Question

After reading a post about wheel wells looking horrible, I went and ordered some of the semi gloss por 15 that you have used. I can't stand the way the rear wheel wells look when the car starts to age!

I have applied one layer of por 15 on both sides but my question is this: Did you only apply one layer or multiple? In some spots, I went back over it to fill in some of the "pores" that I missed. Now that it has dried, the portions that I went back over are a tad darker than the rest. Will this fade/dry with more time or should I apply another layer to the rest of the surface to match the darker portions?

This is the first time I've used it so I figured I would check to make sure. This stuff comes with more warnings that anything I've ever seen

Thanks!

It is supposed to cover with one coat, however you can add multiple coats if you like. Since it's in the wheel wells I wouldn't think that a different shade would be too noticeable once the wheels are back on. P0r-15 is not UV protected and will fade/change color is sunlight, however that shouldn't be too much of a problem in the wheel wells.

Did your wheel wells originaly have an undercoating in them? If so did you paint over this or remove it? If you removed it what did you use?

I painted right over it.

I realize you won't see most of it but I still want it to be uniform, I guess I'm ****

I re-do mine every 2 or 3 years as it is show car sometimes, I usually have great luck with one coat.

I'm in the same boat, I still show my car. I'll probably try to add another coat where it isn't as dark in the spots that I mentioned.

I love the results even with my unevenness! Make's it look that much better...
