newer fenders

ok.. my fenders on my car were in ruff shape so i found some from a scrap yard. the top of them are perfect.. no bondo nothing.. the bottom are a little rusty.. what would be best to remove this rust? acid dip? ( put the dottom half of the fender in it?) or is there another way, better that will restore the perfect look. i dont just want to bolt the new ones on and in a few years have to deal with the whole fender has rotted away. any info would be great

thanks guys

Douglas
