Mother's Reflections, FX
Mother's Reflections, FX
Remember seeing some info on this before, but now that it's been out for a while:
What are users opinions? I currently haven't been able to try it being at college and my car not; car has NXT currently.
I know there is a wax and a top coat that can be layered. Now, I like the idea of layering since NXT doesn't and I've been avoiding Zaino (mostly because there seem to be a million different Zaino products to try). Only thing I don't really understand is what exactly is the top coat? Also, if it is being layered on top of the wax - how is it really going to help it look better for long? Polishes usually go under wax, so what makes a top coat different/effective? Thanks!

Personally I like Meguiar's Gold Class clear coat paste as a topper. I use Klasse All-In-One Paint Protection system which protects your paint for about 6 months, and then I use Klasse Sealant Glaze to seal the AIO. After that, a few coats of Meguiar's Gold Class clear coat paste and tada a shiny, smooth, excellent finish. Anything from Meguiar's is excellent to try, but you are right NXT doesn't layer, which is a semi downside. Personally, I wax my car about 3 times a week, when it's that fresh you're going to have just as good of an effect as 3 layers in my opinion.

Re: Mother's Reflections, FX
I do it three times a week because it's so easy to do. I wipe off the dirt daily with detail spray, 10 minute job or so.. depending on the weather. We've had some pretty dry days here, garaged at night which is when it seems we've gotten most of the rain here in Michigan. During these pretty clean stints, get the dirt off with the duster or I detail spray it just to be safe. The actual time it takes to wax my car using Meguiar's Gold Class is maybe... 20 minutes at most to put it on, 10 minutes to buff off... all in all an easy half hour job when ya keep on it, and the results...

Re: Mother's Reflections, FX
I do the same thing, but I only use Zaino Z-6 or Z-8 Spray Seal after about every other drive and use the CA duster after each drive, this is on my Vette, my daily driver truck does not get this treatment...LOL...... I only apply an actual coat of Zaino Z-2 every 6 months.....

Yeah, I love waxing my car. I live in a condo association, so I don't have to worry about mowing the lawn, so we'll say waxing my car is my alternative, lol. Let's me see the paint for what's going on and keeps me knowing where my dings are.
My car's a daily driver, but I like to keep her clean.
All in all, once you get into the groove and there's already a fairly recent wax job on the car, it's really REALLY easy to rewax... when you buff it out you barely have to put any pressure on the towel it's so slick and smooth it buffs right off.

Cleaner Wax:

Gold Class:

Regardless of whether or not it's a cleaner wax, it's still keepin my car damn slick and smooth.
I'm confused though, I thought carnuba waxes weren't cleaners?

Re: Mother's Reflections, FX
I thought cleaner waxes would say whether or not they were cleaner waxes, though? There's no mention at all on this product of it being a cleaner, and Meguiar's says it's not a cleaner wax.
