Post I saw neat idea

I'm sure many of you pack along some detailing products when you go on a cruise or other trip. I have a small bag full of stuff just for that.

Friday night I was out w/ the wife and ran into a Corvette gathering. Some very nice cars!!

Anyhow, one fellow had a small 1st Aid kit that was re-labeled "Car Aid". I made a comment about it and he opened it up to show me what was inside:

Medium-Small spray bottle of distilled water
Small spray bottle of detailer
Small (very small!) bottles of Zaino
1 high quality cotton wash cloth
1 high quality cotton hand towel
Film container with cly bar
a few paper towels

The bottles were very small, like the size of hotel shampoo bottles and sample spray bottles. There were a coule other things in there that I've forgotten, too. The towels were actually cut from a full size towel with the edges sewn up.

All this fit in a small 1st Aid box that would easily fit in the spare tire well of a 3rd and 4th gen. He packs his all the time. He said he uses the distilled water, cloths, and detailer most often on bird droppings and bugs. Told me that the distilled water was real handy on bird droppings and he thought it helped neutralize the acid in the poo.

I'm going to put one of these together for my car.

Me too! At home it's fine, but I work at an airport, and for some darn reason people get a bit excited about guns around there.

I've kept a mobile detailing kit in my car for about a year now. Contents include:

2 Large white bath towels, Z6, California Water Blade, Absorber, California car duster, Meguairs metal polish, Meguiars High Gloss tire gel, toothbrush, tire gel applicator, Armor All glass cleaner, roll of shop towels, Armor all interior formula protectant, a few rags, q-tips, $10 in quarters for emergency car wash/vacuum needs, a small bottle of car shampoo, a cotton wash mitt and a few extra "new car scent" air freshners.

There might be more than that, but thats all I can remember off the top of my head.
