Well this year my buffer finally broke. The head of the buffer chewed itself up pretty good. So this year it looks like i need to buy a new one. My old one was back from the 80s,it was a Orbital 9inch buffer rated at 1700watts low and 1900watts high and was 4.0amps. It was very powerful and dug into the paint very very well.. I have been looking around town for one but cant find any good ones, the most powerful one I found was 1.5amps which isnt very strong at all compared to the one I had!
So anybody have any suggestions on any good buffers I can buy?

A good one yes, but a completely different kind of buffer than the ones we are talking about, the Makita is a rotary direct drive unit made for pretty major paint removal and high speed final finish buffing, it is not an orbital.
Thanks for the help guys.
I think im just gonna get my buffer repaired. I was quoted around 60bucks if the guy can find the parts. The only 9+inch buffers i found where like 1.5amps at most which i find isnt powerful enough. The 6inch buffers do come with more amperage but I find them to small.

Ain't no way I would spend 60 bucks to repair an old buffer when you can get the PC buffer for 109.00 at Lowes that has interchangable head stock that you can run a 5 inch, 6 inch, 7.5 inch (what I run) or any other size you can think of foam pads.
