Went to the local dragstrip on a very hot day and ended up getting ALOT of black tar and rubber and pavement behind my rear wheels.
What do you use to get this stuff off?!

Dont use WD-40, it will stain your paint unless you wipe it off right away.
I used to use that but it kept messing up my paint. There is another lubricant called PB Penetrator. If you can find that, use it. You can leave it sit on your paint and it wont stain, as a matter of fact, if you leave it sit for a few minutes, the rubber comes right off like dust.
Cant beat PB PENETRATOR.

Try Geddex Burnout Guard. You can get it from Year One and probably other speed shops.

You spray it on before you head for the track and it washes off with water after your done.

All I do is let it cool overnight (it is still tacky the same day), then use the hose on "shower." The cold water breaks the bond very easy as I rub it with my hand.

Now that is with my Nittos. I use to run a Mickey Thompson that bit like hell on the track and the fender, it just smeared. On those: bug and tar remover.

I sprayed a thin layer of bug remover on there the last time I was at the track, and wiped it right off after I got home.
No problems, no streaks, no rubber
Other people have told me to wipe a thin layer of vaseline on there, and it will do a good job too!

Keep those areas "waxed" well and it should wash off easily after it's cooled down.

I've never had a problem with it sticking to my car. Season before last I used Z6 on it right before racing and most of the rubber did not stick. What did just rinsed off.

I don't use Zaino anymore so now I use some quick wax/detailer, same results.

For the wheel wells I lightly spray them with Vinylex (by Lexol) before racing and the rubber just rinses off. Any foam tire treatment will work as well, but Vinylex seems to last longer and work better.
