removing superglue
ok.... i made my own rear clear side markers... and it turns out the superglue from them stuck to the little paint part on the rear.... i wanted to take them off but cant now....its there any way to removie superglue without damaging the paint?
Acetone (nail polish remover) will disolve the glue. It MAY hurt your paint. Use a Q-Tip and test a hidden spot to see if it dulls or softens the paint. If it doesn't, then the paint can handle it. Use a Q-Tip soaked in acetone and hold it on the glue to soften it up. Acetone evaporates too fast otherwise.
Hobby stores also have superglue removers. I've used these around other painted items with no harm to the paint. Never glued my car though.
