Found the best thing to clean plastic
I have found the best thing to clean plastic with, this includes plastic headlights. I decided I needed to use something the my daily driver (Ford Taurus) had some bad haze over the headlights. I purchased Meguiar's "PlastX" cleaner. It was very easy to use; just apply with a terry cloth or wax applicator, then use a seperate finishing cloth to wipe off the residue. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with me to take any before and after pics, but for my use, it turned out to be a satisfying job.
Also, I used it to clean the panel between the taillights on my Trans Am. Produced fabulous results, making it look like-new again. As with this, I do not have any before and after pics.

Re: Found the best thing to clean plastic
I like Plexus for protecting and 'touch ups'. I bought a small vial of some stuff for use with a pad and a drill 'buffer' type setup a while back but have yet to have a need to try it.
Re: Found the best thing to clean plastic
I have not heard anything of the powerball working for anything except on wheels. Also, the stuff that I used said not to get it on the paint so I would hate to use a drill and risk making a mess. It should be mentioned that this stuff did not require a lot of elbow grease.
