I just got my zaino and I was planning on applying it this weekend. My one question is after I dawn wash the car and dry it can I use z6 to remove any remaining water spots before I apply the z5 with zfx? Will this be ok or will the first coat of z5 not be able to adhere with z6 on the paint? Thanks for the help!

Absolutely, I do it every time before I apply polish and of course after I buff off the polish. You can even dampen the applicator pad with Z-6 slightly and it will help spread the polish more evenly and easily.

You may also want to consider claying the car too. It makes a big difference in the smoothness of the surface and acheiving the best results.

Yep, as Kevin suggests, it's perfectly fine to use Z6 both before and after each coat of polish. In fact, it is recommended by Sal himself for best results. Z6 contains the same type of gloss enhancers and polymers as the polish, so they're both completely compatible.

Check out www.zainobros.com or www.lazaino.com for application tips and tricks. I think you'll find that both sites suggest using Z6 often.

Thank you both for the help. I knew once you already had zaino on the car it was ok to use z6 before applying another coat I just wasn't sure if that same rule applied for the very first coat. Oh yeah, I clayed the car three or four months ago when I had just purchased Klasse so other than maybe reclaying the rear bumper do you think I'm ok to go straight to the zaino? Again, I appreciate the help!

P.S. I decided to switch to Zaino because of all the great reviews I've read on this site and others, especially the ease of use as opposed to that annoying Klasse SG. Hopefully this weekend I'll find that I like it much better...

If it was me, while I was claying, I'd go ahead and do that area too, just to make sure it was perfectly smooth.
