detailing question

Ok, so I am going to use a clay bar for the first time. I know what I have to do, but what else should I do after I am done using it? Do i just go with a fresh coat of wax and be done or should I do other stuff like scratch/swirl remover... etc?

Let me know... never really done a huge detail session like this will be!

If you have Access to a Rotary Buffer then yes, use the Swirl remover after the clay

no, no access to a buffer... so just go straight up wax after the clay then? is that the consensus?

Wash it and dry it after the clay, then apply wax.

This is another thread i answered this same question in. If you really want to do the job right, invest in a porter cable random orbital. It does not create heat like a rotary therefore you dont have to worry about damaging your paint. It can be used with the proper swirl remover/polish and foam cutting pad to remove scratches in your clearcoat and is very easy to use. They only cost around $100-120 and you can get them online or at like lowes or home depot. It is the best tool i use to detail.
