I won't cause any swirls or scratches if used correctly. Don't try to use it to "clean" the car, it is a duster, for dusting. Drape the tips across the surface, never rub with it or let it rest on the surface. If the car is dirty, wash it. I've used one for about 4 years and love it.

I completely agree with Kevin V!!

The Cali Duster is exactly that, a duster, not a towel or something you literally press against the surface to do it's magic. Just barely let the tips of the duster catch the dust and you'll always be fine. I only use my duster for light settled dust though, nothing heavy. I love both the Cali Duster and the Cali Water Blade!! Both are great products IMHO...
