Buying and Repainting

Hey guys I’m new to the game and in the market for a catfish. Most of the ones I have run across have serious clear coat peeling or lots of scratches. If I were to get one what should I be expecting to pay(either fixing the clear coat or repaint in original color? I know this has already been asked but wanted to ask again considering labor and supply shortages. Thanks for y’all’s help in advance!
Also if this not the right threat could an administrator point me in the right direction.

You get what you pay for in way of paint. You could get it pained for $3-500 from a Macco or similar discount shop. To get a factory quality job, expect to pay $2-3000. There are places all in between, and your willingness to have it perfect will determine what you’re willing to spend.
