PPG Deltron vs. Dupont Chromer Base

1)Anyone have a preference as to which is better/last longer.

2)Anyone know if these are good paints compared to others?

3)Any random comments on either of the two?

I know nothing about paints and have two businesses boding to paint my car for within $100 of each other. Each business uses one of the above mentioned paints and are experienced in using that paint.

Thanks.

I like dupont's clear better. PPG has a amber to. Dupont's is more clear then amber.

have used both... so far I like ppg better just for how easily it lays down, and how easy it is to work any imperfections out of.

Dupont's color is better suited to blending, as it's more translucent. The downside is that more coats are required for adequate coverage. PPG's color is far more solid and provides coverage in fewer coats. As for clear, I prefer PPG. Dupont's clear doesn't seem to buff well. You could literally sand PPG clear with 1500 and go straight to buffing if you wanted. Keep in mind, I'm talking about the DCU2021 clear that I used 8 years ago. There may be newer products with different characteristics on the market today. Fore overall ease of use, PPG gets my vote.
