Clear coat

Anyone know about how much it will cost to put a new clear coat on my camaro. Also, how much would it cost to paint the whole car a different color, like black for instance. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Im not sure of the cost, but you may want to consider getting it painted if your going to the extreme of prepping anyway for a clear coat. It may be more cost effective, if you plan on keeping it.

Re: Clear coat

I would charge $500 for a fresh coat of clear. If you are going to be chaning colors then it would be way more expensive. All of the door jams, hatch jams, and under the hood has to be done....very costly. What is wrong with the clear on your car right now? If it is just dull or has swirls, just have it buffed out. It will look as good as new unless you have deep scratches.

I'm not really sure what's wrong. On the wing there is a couple of bad spots. I don't know if it is the paint or just the clear coat.
