Angry BUG Stains

Need some help in getting rid of bug stains on the nose of my 97Z which is Polo Green. I used the three step Meguiars (using a buffer) (cleaner/polish/wax) without good results. Compound? If so what kind? Help Help

Bug deposits contain acids that etch clear coat, once this happens it will be impossible just about to clear it up 100%, buy you can try wet sanding with 2000 paper and then rebuf it with 3M Fine cut Rubbing compound and then go back thru the abrasive steps of the Meguiars products you have.

Mark, my roommate has the same problem on his polo green '97, but I agree with Kevin -- there's no easy fix to the bug stains.

I'm doing a Viper later today for the same reason. He's aware of how difficult it'll be, so we're gonna work on it for a while. If I figure anything out, I'll pass it on.
