buffing
buffing
I bought the porter cable orbital buffer today and was wondering if you can buff the car too much to go thru the clearcoat?
I got minor scratches on the hood, and some came out using SMR 39009. I went over a small surface several times and I still can see a few scratches, should I get a more aggressive compound?
I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

The 39009 is very mild, you will not hurt the clear using a foam pad as there is very little heat build up.
The next more aggresive step I like to use is: 3M Finesse It II part number 39003, if you use the 39003 you will need to use the 39009 AFTER the 39003.....
