Is there anyway I can get rid of the pitting in my chrome rims? It looks terrible and is extremely rough. Any ideas or tricks?

Use a clay bar on them to remove the brake dust.

I just found the same thing today while washing and waxing. Good thing I got to it before it got to bad. I used Wax&grease remover

 

If you have a Pep Boys there, get the Raybestos CERAMIC brakes. They WILL NOT shed dust. I am still amazed a year later. I just wash the car once a week and NEVER have any brake dust I can detect.

They are a little spendy (60-70), so you may just want to do the front.

Zone and Advance don't carry this particular pad.

My cousin has MUCHO brake dust on her Z's chrome wheels, but it always washes easy with Eagle Chrome wheel spay - it's acid - don't use on aluminum!!
