I usuahlly use Meguairs, but I have a red car and am looking for the best off the shelf stuff till christmass when as a gift I am getting ZANO... So what will give me a nice shine on a red car...

 

1. DuraGloss Clear Coat Polish #111 (NAPA or CarQuest)

2. Liquid Glass (AutoZone)

These are my top 2 choices for local...good durability, mirror shine, synthetic.

If you are looking for a true carnauba wax, locally I'd recommend S100 available at Harley dealers for $15. Very easy to use, good shine on all colors.

 

Autozone has begun carrying a polymer polish by the name of Aura. At least that't what I think the name is. Never used it, but is a synthetic.

 

That Auri Gold sealant from AutoZone is not something I would want to use. I believe several years ago they were involved in lawsuits over their products because the formula was so nasty it was causing serious problems for users and their cars. They pretty much went out of favor in the US and went overseas because of this and now are back marketing their products here again. Supposedly the formula is still pretty yucky....FYI. Use at your own risk!

This ought to tell you something as well. The notorious TV ads of dropping acid onto a car coated with the product and the rest of the marketing gimmicks that went along with these kinds of products. Durashine is another example....
