Applying Zaino in the sun?

Unfortunately I don't own a garage, and my driveway and surroundings in my area, I don't have a place to park the car in the shade to apply Zaino! I have read on the zaino website that they have appied zaino in the Arizona sun, but I'm a lil skeptical and want to ask for some real life experiences from you members. Unfortunately I have a BLACK car too, lol, so it gets hot to the touch in direct sunlight. It not a cherry paint job by ANY means, it's a daily driver with 100K on the clock, so it has lotsa chips on the front of the car cuz of its daily duty, but now will be using zaino instead of wax. ACtually, I used to apply Mothers wax in the afternoon sun, and the car always looked great when I finished, except for the wax damn near drying on contact because the surface was really hot lol. Remarkably though, I never left any new swirl marks, as I've always used 100% cotton fieldcrest towels.

So any comments on applying in the sun? I really have very little choice, and can't just wait around for overcast and mostly cludy days with chance of rain, lol. Especially since I have to do the whole dawn prep and whatnot for my fiirst coat. Thanks.

Grr... err.. .um. Can you park on the side of the house and do it in the afternoon? If you do it right and use plenty of Z6 afterwards, hopefully it won't streak. I dunno dude. Tough one there

Sal told me once that you can apply it in the sun....as long as the surface is not hot.

I've done it in the sun, just keep the pad moist enough to help spread it thin.

Hehe, I went outside today this morning, on a very overcast day, and I just was touching my cars, and all were cool to the touch, but my Black Impala was REALLY hot to the touch! Damn black paint, lol. Shoulda got a DGGM, haha.

I've Zaino'd in the sun, and the hood wasn't exactly cool either. It worked fine for me, and I Z6'd too.

The only reason I did it was I didn't feel like pulling my other car out of the garage.

I have an infra red temp sensor that I bought just to show people how hot a black surface can get, on a 90 or 95 degree day the paint will reach 200 degrees, that is just too hot even to lay your hand on....

I've applied Z5,Z2,Z6 in the sun with no problems. Not any reason to be sticking my bare hand on the hood with an applicator in the other hand.

hmmm, my paint is pretty dark, its polo green, and i live in vegas, and in the summer here, it is impossible to do anything to your car, except a basic wash, that you have to hurry through at 7:00 before it gets dark, so what i did, is i made my own shade, i got the EZ-UP shade thing, and parked my car under it, it works great
