Question Anybody ever use toothpaste to clean the headlight lenses ?

A friend suggested that last night - if it works, well I would not have to buy anything special !

Any thoughts ?

Thanks !

Toothpaste is fairly abrasive, and should work OK for polishing plastic. I wouldn't use it on paint though....it's almost like a heavy compound in terms of abrasiveness.

I tried it on my car and it didn't do much... I ended up using blue magic metal polish on mine and they looked awesome.

For plastics, the best thing Ive used is made by Honda...sadly...and is used for the plastic back window for S2000 drop tops. Takes out scratches and polishes it up pretty nicely. You can buy it from a Honda dealership for about 8-10 bux. Just tell them you want the stuff that they use for the S2000 rear plastic window.
