I have a 1995 Caprice with the LT1
I have always planned on swapping a T-56 into it but when my tranny died I did not have the time or the resources to take on the project.
Instead I built the beefiest 4l60e you could get.
It is a stage 3 build including:
13 Vane Pump
5 Planetary Conversion
High-Output Pump Slide Spring
Corvette Servo
Kevlar Performance 2-4 Band
The Beast Sunshell
Raybestos Blue Plate Clutches
Kolene Steels
28 Element Sprag
Deep Transmission Pan for Extra Capacity
Comes with a Hellfire 2400 Stall Converter.
I have less than 5,000 miles on this tranny and it works great.
I am looking for a T56 with LT1 Bellhousing. Complete with clutch, flywheel, clutch master cylinder and shifter.
In exchange you get my tranny, tranny cooler, converter, flexplate, and all associated parts.
I am located in Springfield, IL and would prefer not to ship, I am willing to travel a reasonable distance however.
May be able to add $$$ in on top of trade. Please respond via email as I am not a regular on this board.

tempting, but if I sell it outright or trade for rims, then my car would have no way to drive.
I don't really have the cash to pay for the whole deal since my original tranny kicked the bucket early and I didn't have time to piece it together (a m6 swap on a caprice is ALOT more involved than in a f-body). But I figure if I can find interest in a trade that cuts my out of pocket ALOT
